A Hundred Karma

I’ve finally reached a hundred Karma, after being actively plurking and responding to other users on Plurks for the past half year, well, I probably could have reached the hundred Karma mark much earlier if I only avoided spamming at times (being too noisy, in pleasant words) and if I’d only avoided missing Karma updates every now and then which added negative Karma or the least a null to my Karma during that update.

There might be a few who are wondering what Plurk is, let me tell you something about this wonderful micro blogging la social network application named Plurk. If you know about Twitter then you can pretty much figure out what Plurk is all about, well, Twitter is just like this favored micro blogging service that I use, only with much more fun and activity added.

One Hundred Plurk Karma

Plurk lets you inform your friends (and fans, if any) about updates going on about you, what you do, where you are and more. You can live search information about topics that are trending, just like on Twitter, but well, the interaction in Plurk is what rings a bell to my ears and makes me love it even more.

When I first entered Plurklandia, there wasn’t much to say, yes, there have been a lot of people around already, but when I look back at my pretty boring timeline over a year back, I have to say that Plurk is not anything like it was before. It’s more active, more people are going on to the site and the discussions have raised their quality as well.

Unlike in Twitter, every respond that you make to a user can be annoyingly seen by everyone who follows you, unless you private message them. In Plurk, updates are handled like forum threads, wherein people can respond within that update, so that your timeline won’t look too cluttered and full of spam responds from one plurker to the other. I’ve always loved the Plurk world from the moment that I stepped into the world of these creatures. And I don’t regret a moment of chosing Plurk above Twitter.

Indeed, Twitter might drive a lot of traffic to your site if you play the game keenly and accordingly, but there’s nothing like the entertainment you get from Plurk, and well, there’s nothing to replace the girl that I have met on Plurk. Uhh, which leaves me with a couple of words that I just want to bring up again, Plurk moves in mysterious ways.
